Beautiful And Real: Anoral history Of Cải Lương
This short book captures the memories and reminiscences of Cai Luong art offered to two British Council oral history researchers, Hugo Frey và Suzanne Joinson, during 10 days’ field work in Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai province in April 2019. The methodological framework employed facilitated testimonies and an open sharing of memory. Each interview was filmed and recorded. Many lasted for up to 40 minutes, supported by an interpreter, and there is an accompanying documentary film.
